Block Miner
Block Miner is an interactive educational tool that masterfully demonstrates the core concept of Proof-of-Work (PoW), the foundational algorithm behind cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. This application allows users to visually and practically understand the process of "mining" a block in a blockchain. How it works step-by-step: Enter Data: The user can input any string of text into the Data field. This represents the information that would be stored in a block, such as transaction records. Set the Difficulty: Using a simple slider, the user defines the mining Difficulty. This number corresponds to the required number of leading zeros that the final hash must have. A higher difficulty requires exponentially more computational power. Initiate Mining: By clicking the "Mine Block" button, the application begins the Proof-of-Work process. The "Work" Process: The miner rapidly iterates through numbers, starting from 0, known as the Nonce (Number used once). In each iteration, it appends the nonce to the data, creating a new string. Hashing: It then calculates the SHA-256 hash of this new string. Validation: The application checks if the generated hash meets the difficulty requirement (i.e., if it starts with the specified number of zeros). Success: If the hash is not valid, it increments the nonce by one and repeats the process. This continues thousands of times per second until a vali
