Cascade is a powerful, offline-first workspace for developers and designers to manage project-specific assets and code snippets. It acts as a centralized local database, allowing users to organize critical information across multiple projects in a structured and persistent manner. How it works step-by-step: Project Management: The user begins by creating distinct projects. Each project serves as a separate container for its own set of assets and snippets, which can be easily switched between from the sidebar. Asset Library: Within each project, the "Asset Library" tab allows for the creation of a key-value store. This is ideal for managing design tokens (like colors, font sizes, spacing units) or configuration variables. Each asset is displayed in a clean table with a visual preview for colors. Snippet Versioning: The "Snippet Versions" tab provides a simple yet effective version control system for a block of text or code. Users can edit content in the main text area and click "Save New Version" to create a timestamped snapshot of the current state. They can easily view and restore previous versions from a historical list. Data Persistence & Portability: All data across all projects is automatically saved to the browser's localStorage by clicking the main "Save All" button, ensuring work is never lost.
