ChainSim

ChainSim is a powerful, interactive visual simulator designed to demystify the fundamental principles of blockchain technology. It provides a hands-on sandbox environment where users can build, manipulate, and understand a functioning blockchain from the ground up, making complex concepts like immutability and Proof-of-Work easy to grasp. How it works step-by-step: Create Transactions: Start by filling out the form to create mock transactions (e.g., Alice sends 10 coins to Bob). These are added to a "Mempool," a waiting area for unconfirmed transactions. Mine a Block: Once there are pending transactions, click the "Mine Block" button. The simulator performs a Proof-of-Work calculation, bundling the pending transactions into a new block and adding it to the end of the chain. Observe the Chain: Each block in the chain is visually represented, showing its data, its unique hash, and the hash of the previous block that links them together. A valid, unbroken chain is indicated with a green highlight. Test Immutability (The Core Concept): The true power of the simulator lies in interaction. Go to any block in the chain and try to tamper with its data (e.g., change a transaction amount). You will instantly see that block and all subsequent blocks turn red, visually demonstrating how a single change breaks the cryptographic link and invalidates the rest of the chain.
