Cohort Retention Matrix

The Cohort Retention Matrix is a powerful, privacy-focused analytics tool for product managers, marketers, and data analysts. It allows you to generate a detailed retention heatmap from a simple CSV file, without your data ever leaving your browser. How it works, step-by-step: Prepare Your Data: Create a CSV file with three columns: user_id, signup_month (in YYYY-MM format), and active_month (in YYYY-MM format). Upload the CSV: Click the file input button and select your CSV file. The application will instantly parse the data. Analyze the Heatmap: The main view displays a cohort retention matrix where rows represent user cohorts by signup month and columns represent activity over subsequent months (M0, M1, etc.). The cells show the retention percentage and are color-coded for quick visual insights. Use Actions: Save/Load your session in the browser, export the generated matrix as a new CSV, or reset to start over. This tool is perfect for quick, secure, and offline analysis of user retention without needing complex business intelligence platforms.
