DataVault is a backup management simulator and dashboard that allows users to create, monitor, and manage virtual backup jobs. It provides a clean interface to track the status and history of backup operations without connecting to any actual storage or files, making it a perfect tool for planning a backup strategy, training, or manually logging tasks performed by other systems. All data is saved securely in the browser's local storage. How it works step-by-step: Navigate the Dashboard: The application is split into two main sections: "Overview" and "Backup Jobs." Create a Backup Job: In the "Backup Jobs" tab, click "Create New Job." This adds a new, named backup task to your list, ready for configuration and execution. Run a Simulated Backup: Click the "Run" button on any job. The application will simulate a backup process, complete with a dynamic progress bar. The simulation assigns a random data size and has a chance to complete successfully or result in an error, mimicking real-world scenarios. Monitor Job Status: Each job is color-coded based on its last known status (Success, Running, Error, or Idle). You can see the size of the last backup and the timestamp of its last execution. Review the Overview: The "Overview" tab provides a high-level dashboard with key metrics: total data size backed up across all jobs, the number of configured jobs, the overall success rate, and
