OrgChartist is an intuitive and private organizational chart designer that helps you visually map out your company's structure with ease. Operating entirely offline within your browser, it ensures that your sensitive organizational data remains secure on your local device. It's the perfect tool for HR managers, team leads, and business owners who need to create and maintain organizational charts without relying on complex, cloud-based software. How it works step-by-step: Add Your First Employee: Use the form in the sidebar to add your first employee, typically the highest-ranking position (e.g., CEO). Leave the "Reports To" field as "No Manager" to establish them as the root of the chart. Build the Hierarchy: For each subsequent employee, add their name and role, then select their direct manager from the "Reports To" dropdown list. The application automatically renders the hierarchy visually in real-time. Edit and Manage Nodes: To edit an employee's details or change their manager, click the pencil icon (✏️) on their node. The form will be pre-filled with their information for you to modify. To remove an employee, click the trash icon (🗑️). The application will intelligently ask for confirmation to also delete all employees who report to that person, ensuring the chart's integrity.
