Nova AI Apps Shard is a secure, client-side data vault for encrypting, storing, and managing sensitive text-based information. Using the robust AES-GCM encryption standard via the browser's native Web Crypto API, it ensures that all data is encrypted and decrypted locally on the user's device, with nothing ever being sent to a server. How it works step-by-step: Encrypt Data: In the "Encrypt" tab, the user enters the plaintext they wish to secure and provides a strong password. They have two options: "Encrypt & Copy" for quick, one-off encryption, or "Encrypt & Save" to store the data securely within the application. Save as a Shard: When saving, the user is prompted to give the encrypted data a memorable "label". This creates a "Shard" — a named, encrypted block of data. Manage the Vault: The "Saved Shards" section acts as a secure vault, listing all saved items. From here, users can: Load: Select a shard to instantly load its encrypted content into the decryption panel. Edit: Click on a shard's label to rename it. Delete: Securely remove a shard from the vault. Decrypt Data: In the "Decrypt" tab, the user pastes the encrypted data (either from their clipboard or by loading a shard) and enters the corresponding password.
