TransactViz
TransactViz is an interactive educational simulator that visualizes how information spreads through a decentralized Peer-to-Peer (P2P) network. This tool is perfect for students, developers, and enthusiasts looking to understand the foundational communication layer of technologies like blockchain and torrents. How it works step-by-step: Network Creation: The simulation starts with a network of interconnected nodes moving within the canvas. You can easily adjust the number of nodes in the network using a slider and reset the network at any time. Peer Connection: Each node automatically connects to a set number of its closest peers, creating a dynamic and decentralized network topology. These connections represent the communication channels between participants. Broadcasting a Transaction: Select any node from the dropdown menu to act as the starting point (the source). When you click "Broadcast Transaction," a simulated data packet (the "transaction") is initiated from that source node. Visualizing Propagation: You can watch in real-time as the transaction visually propagates across the network. Nodes change color as they receive the information, and the data packet is shown traveling along the connections to their peers. This process, often called a "gossip protocol," demonstrates how information can quickly and reliably reach the entire network without a central server. Save &
